Join Chef Tiw for an immersive & educational experience with a special menu of Asian/European inspired dishes, all expertly matched with wines from the award-winning winery, Handpicked.
Mekong is known for it’s Indochine cuisine which not only crosses the provinces of the Mekong River, but also traditional cooking concepts. Chef Tiw draws inspiration from across the globe, allowing creative freedom to bring you dishes that challenge the norm. He doesn’t focus on what a dish should be, but what it could be.
In this special one-off menu his dishes explore the flavours of Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Burma, and Laos with influence from Europe (particularly Norway, Italy & France), through flavours and techniques.
And for the wine… Handpicked is an award-winning winery that produces from Australia’s premium growing regions including Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania. They have a beautiful urban Cellar Door on Kensington Street in Chippendale, and their balanced wine style compliments the spices and aromas of this menu perfectly.
